Rockshox have introduced this simple little gadget that aims to solve the problems of hardcore dirt jumpers everywhere.
The Turncoat is a steerer tube assembly that replaces the top-cap and star nut typically used, which many DJ’ers hacked or cut anyway to make room for the hydraulic front brake line to feed through. The Turncoat uses shaped channels to keep the hose in place and guide it properly into the steerer tube, and the top and bottom caps thread into a central tube to clamp down the headset, eliminating the need for the star nut.
