Winstanleys Bikes works in conjunction with Cyclescheme. The basic process is as follows... You obtain a quote from us for the bike and accessories of your choice, you then submit that quote to your accounts dept (or whoever deals with Cyclescheme within your company). Once you have been provided with a voucher you must sign it and tick to say received (this is necessary for mail order transactions) and send back to us at Winstanleys Bikes, Unit 8 Martland Court, Wigan WN5 0LU, we will complete the details of products. Once we’ve received your voucher, your bike and accessories will be dispatched within 24 hours if in stock.
Please be aware that Cyclescheme charges the retailer 10% for the service. Therefore any discounted items would have 10% added back onto the price or go back to RRP (whichever is less) as part of the quotation.
A deposit must be paid to hold a bike while you are waiting for your voucher to be produced.
If you contact us for a quote, we will need the following information…
How do I get a bike?
Your easy steps to getting a bike through Cyclescheme...
Is your employer signed up?
To get a bike through Cyclescheme, your employer needs to be signed up to the scheme. If your employer is not signed up, or you are not sure, speak to your manager or HR department, and direct them to this site. You can also invite your employer to join.
Request your secure certificate online
Go to your employer's special Cyclescheme web address to request your certificate. If you are not sure what this is, ask your manager or Cyclescheme administrator.
We will ask your employer to confirm your eligibility and approve your request, and then send them an invoice for the bike package. A hire agreement will also be sent to you to sign. As soon as the bike is paid for, we will send you your printed certificate, which you can then take to a bike shop to exchange for a bike and equipment.
Remember that you can track your request at any time by clicking on My Cyclescheme.
Take your certificate to your bike shop
There you can exchange it for your chosen bike and equipment. You might want to call them first to check these are currently in stock. You will also need to take photographic ID with you, such as your passport or driving license. This helps us to ensure the equipment reaches you safely.
How does payment work?
Your hire payments are deducted from your gross monthly salary. At the end of the hire period employees may be given the opportunity to buy the bike for the market value, however this cannot be an automatic entitlement. Many employers opt for Cyclescheme to take ownership of the bikes at the end of the hire term, in which case any offer sale to the employee will come directly from Cyclescheme.
